CENTRAL WAREHOUSING CORPORATION (CWC)
Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a Schedule ‘A’-Mini Ratna, Category – 1 Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) is a statutory body
which was established under ‘The Warehousing Corporations Act, 1962’. Its aim is to provide reliable, cost-effective, value-added, integrated warehousing and logistics solution in a socially responsible and environment friendly manner.
The authorized capital and total paid up capital of CWC are Rs.100 Cr. and Rs.68.02 Cr respectively. The turnover for the year 2020-21
is Rs.2168.13 crore as compared to Rs. 1727.63 Crore in the previous year i.e. Rs. 440.50 crore (increase of 25.5%). Profit Before Tax for the year 2020-21 is Rs. 565.55 crore as against Rs. 409.67 crore in the previous year i.e. increase of 38.05%. The Profit
after Tax for the year 2020-21 is Rs. 438.17 crore as against Rs. 372.32 Crore in the previous year.
Corporation has paid total Dividend of Rs. 227.24 crore during the year 2020-21 consisting of Rs. 111.68 Crore for the year 2019-20 as
approved by the shareholders in AGM held on 28.09.2020 and interim dividend of Rs. 115.56 crore during the financial year 2020-21 as approved by the Board.
As a premier Warehousing Agency, CWC was operating 424 warehouses as on 28.02.2022 with a total operational storage capacity of 101.52
lakh MT including 39 Custom Bonded Warehouses, 21 Container Freight Stations (CFSs)/ Inland Clearance Depots (ICDs), 2 Air Cargo Complexes (ACCs) and 1 Temperature Controlled Warehouses, 2 Integrated Check Posts (ICPs). CWC also provides services in the area
of clearing & forwarding, handling & transportation, disinfestation, fumigation etc. It also offers consultancy services/ training to different agencies for construction of warehousing infrastructure.
CWC has 19 State Warehousing Corporations (SWCs) as its associates. Central Warehousing Corporation is 50% shareholder in the equity capital
of the SWCs. The total investment of CWC in SWCs is Rs. 61.79 Crore. As on 28.02.2022, the SWCs were operating 2213 warehouses with a total storage capacity of 491.86 lakh MT (including 31.80 lakh MT management capacity).

Central Railside Warehouse Company Limited (CRWC) a Mini-Ratna, Category-II, Public Sector Enterprise was incorporated on 10.07.2007 under
the Companies Act, 1956.
The authorized and paid-up share capital of CRWC is Rs.150 Cr. and Rs 40.56 Cr respectively. The entire paid-up share capital is presently
being held by Central Warehousing Corporation. Provisional financial results of the Company for the FY 2021-22 are as under:

During the FY 2021-22, CRWC has paid interim dividend of Rs.8.50 Crore to Central Warehousing Corporation which is 20.96% of paid-up share
capital.
CRWC has 20 Railside Warehouse Complexes (RWCs) with a total storage capacity of 3,54,967 MT and is providing efficient rail based total
logistics solution, leveraging economy of scale to the advantage of all stakeholders.
CRWC aims to develop dedicated rail handling facilities (adjoining rail sidings) giving a boost to rail freight and in facilitating logistics
requirement of its customers. Its objective is to promote the business of multimodal transport operations and aggregation/disaggregation of cargo for both domestic and impex movement.
CRWC has been providing integrated warehouse management and related logistic services, thereby, increasing overall efficiency, cost optimization,
prevention of damages/pilferage, reduction in detention time of rakes and improved quality of service all under one roof.
